Project Overview
For Refined Aesthetics, I designed a visually striking logo and a modern, user-friendly website to establish the brand as a leader in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. The logo embodies elegance and professionalism, while the website highlights their expertise in both surgical and non-surgical treatments, creating a cohesive and inviting brand presence for their Oklahoma City-based practice.
Challenges:
The biggest challenge with Refined Aesthetics was uncovering what the client truly wanted. Initially, there wasn’t a clear direction or visual style in mind, which made it essential to read between the lines of the client brief. Through careful review and conversation, it became clear that the brand needed to feel more refined—balancing a subtle sense of luxury with professionalism to attract the client’s ideal audience.
The logo had to convey expertise while remaining modern and approachable, and the website needed to present complex medical information in a way that felt clear and trustworthy. Finding the right balance between elegance and accessibility was key to ensuring the design resonated with a diverse audience.

The Logo
The logo design for Refined Aesthetics began with the client’s request for a monogram. Since both the client’s first name and the name of the practice started with “R,” it felt like the most natural place to begin. We explored several concepts using the letter “R,” including versions that incorporated a feminine silhouette. However, through review and discussion, it became clear that this direction risked limiting the brand’s appeal to a narrower audience than intended.
After several thoughtful iterations, we landed on a design that felt universally elegant—a refined “R” with a hidden second “R” subtly revealed in the negative space. This duality brought depth to the mark, representing balance, transformation, and the client’s identity in a way that felt both sophisticated and inclusive. The final logo is clean, memorable, and a true reflection of the brand’s name and values.

The Web Site
In designing the website for Refined Aesthetics, I initiated the process by sketching the logo, focusing on a minimalist design that embodies the brand's commitment to subtlety and natural beauty. This initial sketch served as the foundation for the site's aesthetic. Utilizing Figma, I developed wireframes that emphasized clean lines and an intuitive layout, ensuring a seamless user experience. The client has expressed great satisfaction with the final design, which effectively reflects their brand identity and appeals to their target audience.
